Dentists agree upon the fact that habits of good dental care are necessary to acquire in early childhood. According to the survey made by the World Health Organization in 2012, children frequently suffer from gingivitis and dental caries which occur in 60-90% of schoolchildren worldwide. Dental caries is a progressive disease that affects the quality of life of the child if not treated. It can also cause limited ability to eat and chew and defective speech, and we cannot forget about the aesthetics either. In addition, a tooth pain is a common cause of children’s absence in school.
Thus, in cooperation with its partners, the Slovak Chamber of Dentists have prepared the Oral Health Day in Incheba on Friday 26th September. The whole morning will be dedicated to children from kindergartens and primary schools that will come to the event within school hours with their teachers. They will learn in a playful way how to properly clean their teeth, how to properly eat but also how to provide first aid. Besides that they can have fun during various competitions and receive beautiful presents. Parents with children are welcome in Incheba from 14:00h/2pm – students of dentistry will provide free advice to everyone and demonstrate the proper teeth care.
