For the last days, Incheba premises were dedicated to traveling, experience, savors and aromas. From 30th January to 2nd February 2014 the 20th travel fair ITF Slovakiatour and 21st gastronomy fair Danubius Gastro took place, being accompanied by specialized exhibitions Hunting and Leisure, Wellness and Fitness, exhibition of packing materials and machines Gastropack and exhibition of equipment and technologies for shop Exposhop.
756 exhibitors from 29 countries presented their products to visitors on the area covering 36 000 m2. The fairs received a very positive feedback this year – in four days luring in the record-making number of 75 012 visitors, keen lovers of good food and traveling.
ITF Slovakiatour provided a complex travel service. Visitors were given opportunity to choose a holiday from a wide and rich offer of travel agencies, explore the beauties of near and far countries through attractive expositions and inform themselves on travel possibilities. The fair also brought the unique opportunity to get to know the whole Slovakia. Exotica was not missing either – Brazil, Jamaica, Sri Lanka, Namibia and many others lured visitors to enjoy an unforgettable holiday. Many countries had their fair premiere – including the less traditional tourism areas like Ukraine, Albania or Moldavia. The partnership region role was taken by Moravian-Silesian Region this year.
Danubius Gastro brought a rich offer of food, ingredients, beverages, wine and coffee as well as professional gastro technique and equipment for gastronomic premises. All those who cherish good food were given chance to taste various culinary specialties and explore new savors. Visitors were impressed by cooking shows and competitions in coffee and alcoholic beverages. The most expositions belonged to Slovakia, followed closely by Czech Republic. Wine companies were strongly presented on the fair, with wine makers from Portugal being present for the first time ever.
