In recent days the premises of Incheba belonged to travelling and gastronomy. The prestigious combination of 21st fair of travel ITF Slovakiatour with the 22nd fair of gastronomy Danubius Gastro once again brought a colourful programme and loads of experience. The fairs were accompanied by specialized exhibitions Hunting and Leisure, Wellness and Fitness, exhibition of packing materials and techniques Gastropack and exhibition of machinery and technologies for shops Exposhop.
The total area of 36 000m2 introduced to visitors 738 exhibitors from 29 countries. Moreover, the Danubius Gastro fair reached the highest parameters since the crisis in 2008 - 2009 compared to last year. Both fairs have once again confirmed their stable position and received a very positive response from visitors. From 29th January to 1st February the events were visited by 62 393 people even despite the excessive snow load that paralyzed the traffic.
The Danubius Gastro fair mediated to all those interested in gastronomy area a rich offer of food, ingredients, beverages, wine and coffee. Professional visitors could become acquainted with technology news for area of hotels, restaurants, guesthouses, cafes and vending. Progressive solutions for food industry, bakeries, shops and packing were not missing either. The main partner of the fair was the Kaufland Slovak Republic that used the platform of the fair for presentation of national products. The Kaufland stand resembled a real store where visitors could buy Slovak products for favourable prices. For creative support of Slovak products, Kaufland received the Danubius Gastro award.
The ITF Slovakiatour fair provided the visitors with complex travel service. Visitors had a unique opportunity to compare the offers of travel agencies under one roof as well as check out all the stands of regions and countries. ITF Slovakiatour fair presented all Slovak regions. For the first time ever countries as Seychelles and United States of America participated, but other distant and exotic countries were not missing either – such as Brazil, Vietnam, Jamaica, Namibia and many others. For the second time in a row, the Moravian-Silesian Region became the partner of the fair and presented itself to visitors with a unique hockey stand in the context of the upcoming ice hockey championship in Czech Republic. For modern approach to presentation of regional traditions, the Moravian-Silesian Region was awarded with the prize of ITF Slovakiatour.
