Atmosphere of close and distant countries, lots of inspiration for travelling and introduction of tourist attractions, traditions and habits, including national specialties will be brought to Bratislava from 26th to 29th January by the biggest travel fair in Slovakia, ITF Slovakiatour. All fans of traveling will be informed on attractive tourist destinations, possibilities of accommodation, transport and food. Under one roof, the fair brings together travel agencies, tour operators, delegates and representatives of states, countries, regions, towns and municipalities including tourism organizations presenting the best they can offer to tourists.
The current 23rd edition of the fair brings several novelties. One of them is the fact that ITF Slovakiatour now has two main partners which means visitors can look forward to even more interesting events, attractions and accompanying programmes. The national partner of the fair is Košice Region that has been participating in the fair for ten years already. Regions Košice, Abov, Spiš, Gemer and Zemplín will present their tourist attractions, historical monuments, unique nature, folklore and traditional kitchen together. The foreign partner of the fair is, for the fourth time in a row, the very Moravian-Silesian Region from the neighbouring Czech Republic. Its colourful exhibition stand will educate visitors on interesting tourist areas that are located near borders.
Another novelty of the ITF Slovakiatour fair is participation of such countries as Mexico, Cuba and Poland. Travellers can also look forward to representation of Serbia through its capital Belgrade and also to participation of Abkhazia. Slovakia will be represented through all of its regions and especially highlighted thanks to a strong participation of Slovak spa concentrated in hall B1.
The festival of travel films Camera Slovakia – Bubo Ball is a very popular part of the ITF Slovakiatour fair. Professionals for who traveling means life will once again educate visitors on all the interesting corners of our world and tell their stories through films, photographs and storytelling.
Wellness and Fitness
The travel fair is accompanied by exhibition aimed at sport – Wellness and Fitness situated in hall B0. The wide offer of machines and equipment for exercise, functional clothing or food supplements will be complemented by accompanying programme aimed at development of healthy lifestyle. Interesting lectures on philosophy, origin of yoga, on prevention of stress through meditation and on so called Sahaja yoga or samples of Brazilian martial art Capoeira will provide visitors with valuable information on these currently very popular activities. We have also prepared great competitions for interesting prizes – that will be won by competitors that will endure in holding the so called kettlebells and doing squats with 15 kg bag.
Hunting and Leisure
Another accompanying exhibition, Hunting and Leisure, is dedicated not only to professional hunters, but also to all lovers of nature and hiking. Besides rich selection of clothing and equipment for outdoor activities visitors can also look forward to the Day of Organized Falconry in Czech Republic, Morava and Slovakia that will take place on Saturday, 28th January. This day will represent a start of a year of celebration of 50th anniversary of organized falconry in our country and will educate visitors on its history and activity. Accompanying programme will be supplemented by samples of animal luring and imitation of vocalisation of birds, Czech hunting music or introduction of Slovak national hunting breed – Slovak Rough-haired Pointer.
The ITF Slovakiatour and its accompanying exhibitions are open from 26th to 29th January 2017. The first day and second day till 13:00h (1pm) is reserved for professional public. Every ticket is also a lottery ticket for valuable prizes – sightseeing in China for two persons from CK ESO, exclusive trip to Sri Lanka for two persons from CK BUBO and 10 vouchers worth 1,000€ in total for shopping in Kaufland store chain.
