The motoring event of the year, the Motor Show Bratislava, is to open its gates very soon. From 17 to 22 April, it will mediate the trends of the automotive world to its visitors. This year, the exhibition is to present 74 Slovak car premieres, interesting concepts and the atmosphere of dynamic accompanying events. The exhibition area of 40,000 km2 will be used by 148 exhibitors from the Czech Republic, Austria, Turkey and the Slovak Republic. The visitors can look forward to the presentation of more than 42 car brands. This is the second time for the exhibition of luxury goods and services, the Exclusive Salon, to take place at the same time as the Motor Show.
EXHIBITED CAR BRANDS
The automobile manufacturers will display their new models, which have been already presented at the well-known Geneva motor show, to the general public. The visitors will surely enjoy the premiere showing of models manufactured in Slovakia. Besides commonly available car models, the Exclusive Salon exhibition will present several exquisite car models of Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls Royce and Nissan. In addition to the presentation of shiny and powerful sports cars, the exhibition is to provide the visitors with accessories, tuning components and car-repair equipment. The legendary Mustang cars and the trailer caravans will certainly get a lot of visitors’ attention, too.
During the 6 days of the exhibition, the visitors can look forward to many accompanying events. The general public will be acquainted with the process of a car accident and the results of crash tests; there will be 3 demonstrations displaying the aftermath of motor vehicle collisions with a pedestrian, cyclist and another motor vehicle. Each and every visitor will be given a chance to practice the rules of safe driving at the Driving Academy which is organised by the Slovakia Ring. The public can also evaluate the technological enhancement of the cars presented while test-driving the models of Nissan, Hyundai, Mazda, Opel and Peugeot.
In addition to all this, two new events are to be held this year. Presently, the need of environmental protection and electric vehicles has been accentuated more and more; therefore, the 1st International conference on electromobility, E-Mobility Fórum 2012, will provide information on actual options of electric vehicles use and answer whether the state and state administration support on the matter is required. The conference is organised by Východoslovenská energetika, the energy company.
The Czechoslovak Junior Car Mechanic 2012 competition aims to promote the vocations of mechanics, electricians, vehicle body builders and car varnishers among the general public. Its aim is also to establish a cooperation of vocational schools and future employers. The international competition has been preceded by stages of national level; 1411 students took part in the Slovak competition stage. The final stage will see 11 Slovak and 11 Czech students fighting for the win.
A great part of the exhibition will present car tuning models and accessories and on the last day of the exhibition, there will be a meeting and a parade of tuned and modified cars that will start the upcoming tuning season. The performances of well-known artists and signing events involving important people of the motoring field will make the atmosphere of car displays more pleasant and interesting. Like any other motor show, this one also features beautiful women; one of those will be picked out to become a Miss of the Motor Show.
This will be the second time for the Bratislava Motor Show to be accompanied by the remarkable presentation - Exclusive Salon. This inventive exhibition concept differs from the other display area due to its unique atmosphere. It invites its visitors to take a promenade through the French town of Saint Tropez where they can admire several luxurious and extraordinary cars and boats, a helicopter, a travel trailer and watches. One can also find a café in this small “harbour”. This original idea enriches the presentation by a taste of elegance and it is a pleasure for the visitors’ eyes. J&T BANK and Best Hotel Properties, our main partners, provided us with support needed for the realisation of this project.
Monika Céreová, J&T BANK Director:
„Exclusive Salon connects successful people and therefore, we are glad that those who are about to come and look at the fascinating cars, newest models of boats or any other transport newies will find a place to rest here, at the J&T BANK Café, once again. Exclusive Salon is an extraordinary event which brings many prestigious brands, names and influential people together and is a source of great experiences. We are pleased that we can provide the visitors and clients with a perfect and complex service of our private bank this year too.”
Branislav Babík, Chairman of the board of the Best Hotel Properties hotel group:
“Luxury is the main feature by which our hotels can be characterised. This year we have also prepared a model of the Kempinski Hotel River Park suite. Its furniture comes directly from the hotel. People visit our hotels because of their business meetings and activities or because of relax. I hope they will forget about the haste of the daily life and take their time while drinking some coffee in our suite.”
