The Moravian-Silesian Region has announced the first year of culinary competition Šmakšéf. The competition is aimed to all amateur chefs and cooks that will enter the competition till 15th January 2014. The winner will be awarded with Šmakšéf title, a weekend stay for whole family and a gift. Rewards are also prepared for finalists on the second and third place.
The culinary competition consists of two parts. The one who will gain the most points from all the juries will become the winner.
In the first, postal part, all the competitors must send a food concept including calculation, technological process and photo documentation of the dish together with their CV to: firstname.lastname@example.org till 15th January 2014. Many aspects will be assessed, especially use of regional materials, innovation and creativity and photography of the completed dish.
Maximum of 12 best chiefs and cooks will enter into the next, practical part that will take place in the premises of High School of Gastronomy, Tourism and Spa AHOL, Dušní 8, 703 00 Ostrava-Vítkovice in April or May 2014. In this part professionals will assess the smell and taste of the dish, cleanliness of the work place, presentation of the dish on plate and many others.
