“Let’s Construct in Modern and Economic Way”, such is the motto of the 35th international construction fair Coneco that is taking place together with the 24th energy efficiency fair Racioenergy. The profile of the Coneco fair enlists current topics that react on the actual situation in construction and brings a lot of novelties from this area. From 26th to 29th March 2014, 475 exhibitors from 9 countries – besides Slovakia it is Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Austria, Italy and Turkey - will offer their products and services on the total area of 35.000 m2.
One of the current topics in construction represents the energy-efficient buildings. Thus the dominance in the spectrum of goods and services belongs to progressive and renewable energy sources, passive and low-energy houses, building revitalization or wooden houses. These topics, together with new technical solutions for achieving longer endurance and attractive look and the issue of sustainability in construction and law enforcement in this area, represent the main focus of this year’s fair.
The Coneco fair offers everything needed for construction and reconstruction – from building materials through windows, doors, roofs, floors, air conditioning, electrical installation, saunas, hot tubs, garage doors to garden equipment. Visitors will be given chance to get informed daily in the consultation and advisory centre on how to save money via energy efficiency - how to correctly and effectively thermally insulate, what are the advantages of wooden houses or how to incorporate windows in ultra-low passive energy houses. More interesting events are prepared – including samples of use of natural industrially prepared materials such as cork, cellulose, fibreboard, wool and hemp when reconstructing rural houses.
The fair will be complemented by Wooden Houses Salon (B2 hall) where companies will present their offerings of energy-efficient houses. The exhibition area will be enhanced by a real wooden house, while professionals will answer all the questions concerning wooden houses. The Monuments section (B2 hall) is aimed at revitalization of the cultural heritage of the country. The Salon of Architecture (A0 hall) will bring a display of winning works in prestigious professional surveys.
The fact of Coneco being a feast for builders and traditionally opening the construction season in Slovakia is underlined by the conference “Meeting of Leaders in Construction” on the second day of the fair. Besides problems in business environment in Slovak construction area, the talks will concern also law enforcement and much more.
The professional conference “Civil Engineering Theory and Construction” will be dedicated to new legal and technical regulations in the processing of project documentation in major renovation.
The hot questions in construction area will be the main topic of the professional seminaries that will deal with implementation of European directive on energy efficiency and project management in construction.
