This years´ Motor Show Turned Bratislava into Small Geneva

The 27th edition of the Bratislava Motor Show closed its gates on Sunday – bringing an excellent offer of the record-making 46 brands, one European premiere, two Central European premieres and more than 80 Slovak exhibition premieres. A must be of the fair is also a rich accompanying programme, this year with a novelty for the littlest ones – a Children Mini Motor Show. The event caused a huge interest and was visited by 198,334 visitors in 6 days, who enjoyed the exclusive mix of all kinds of cars. Several media evaluated the current edition as especially strong and even compared it to the Geneva one. This only proved that the showcase of cars in shiny exhibition stands makes the Bratislava Motor Show a truly remarkable car event in Central Europe.

The total area of 40,000 m2 presented a complex offer of the best from the car industry and was supplemented with rich accompanying programme, this year for the first time ever also introducing the Children Mini Motor Show. Children could test their driving skills on mini test drives on children electric cars. The drives were complemented with exhibition stand of miniatures of the real exhibited models. The showcase of luxury vehicles Exclusive Salon was traditionally part of the fair, besides representative limousines and super sport cars also introducing new SUV from the Maserati brand or the most expensive serially produced Rolls-Royce convertible. The accompanying programme also offered a possibility to try cars on our roads via test drives, crash tests pointing to risks in traffic, showcase of veterans and caravans or opening of the tuning season on Sunday. The main partner of the fair was OMV Slovakia whose exhibition stand introduced a miniature of the best known Slovak racing circuit Slovakiaring. The main media partner of the Motor Show was RTVS and traffic news Zelená vlna.

The Motor Show also witnessed awarding of the most creative exhibition stands. This year the prize went to Hyundai Motor Czech s.r.o., Slovakia branch, Mercedes – Benz Slovakia, s.r.o., Porsche Slovakia, s.r.o. for the Volkswagen, ŠKODA AUTO Slovakia s.r.o. exhibition stand and Toyota Central Europe Slovakia s.r.o. for the Lexus exhibition stand.  Awards were also given by publisher of the Auto Magazín and Profi Auto to ten cars that stood out in one of the chosen categories.
